I've a few dreams for myself. Not all of which are monetary, but they do relate.
1. Yes, of course, like anyone, to gain financial freedom;
2. Vacation someplace warmer than Canada;
3. Drive a dark blue '79 CHevy Corvette Stingray without thinking about how it has burnt away my total life savings;
4. Make the Top 20 of my graduating class. I know it's not dealing with money, like most other dreams, but I think that the work I have and will be pushing myself to complete with the Elite will carry over to my high school career. I want to take away from the Elite more than just a hefty paycheck and knowing I taught someone else how to publish an eBook; I want to know that between the Elite, Academic Decathlon, and the support of my ever-loving boyfriend (and co-founder, Charlie) that I can and will work harder than I ever tought I could;
5. Have plenty of young folks read my literature and understand it;
6. Feel good about something I have done.
Hope you all understand!! Melinda Zerby

Re: Your post... Most admirable...I too had similar aspirations, but love sort of sidelined me...I got married my junior year of high school, quit football to work evenings and continue my studies(eventually dreamed to go to medical school)...No kids for 12 years...but the lovebug-created absenteeism dropped my ranking from #9 out of class of 565, to 569 or top 11%...Yeah, my dream car at that time was a 1963 Corvette Stingray, with a bubbletop(not an option)...Wanted to live in a place not as burning hot as Gulf coast Texas sun...Yeah, I wanted to save the world from itself, still dream about that....Yep, know where you're coming from, except you have a much clearer vision of where and how you will get there than I did then... Best Wishes, - ::)Solomon777

Thank you, I appreciate you knowing where I stand. I know it will be pretty difficult, with this school year turning out as it has... But one can always dream, can't they? It keeps me moving, for the most part. ~Zerbatron
